Dinner at The Galley in Santa Monica, California.
Santa Monica is a great place to people watch and find some fun entertainment. The beach is almost always buzzing with artist of all kinds. From musicians to tight rope walkers there is so much going on down at the beach. Walk a little down south and you'll run into Venice beach which is a whole other type of bizarre..
But back to Santa Monica, if you ever find yourself visiting talk a walk down the pier indulging its entertainment. One time my sister and I were there, we were greeted by a flock of parrots. As we were walking by, a man threw his parrots at us before we could comprehend what was even going on. I had one parrot on my head the other on my shoulder and she on both of her shoulders. Then, in the middle of us laughing so hard, the man squirted my arm with water and I thought the bird had peed on me. Which I then later realized that birds don't "pee". Either way we laughed so hard we could barely breathe and it made for a great story and fantastic pictures for years to come.
The Santa Monica pier also has a vibrant oceanfront amusement park called, Pacific Park. Looking directly out on the ocean, it provids great views of the swimmers, surfers and even seals near by. It's a great places to have fun, laugh, take colourful pictures and get burned so don't forget your sun block!
Lay on the sand or frolick in the waters, I love California beaches!
After our day of fun, we went exploring slightly inland to find a place to eat. That's when we came upon, The Galley. A Nautical boat house restaurant, located just off the beach. With a very eccentric atmosphere inside, they also have a outside patio in the back that is very cozy in amongst trees and shrubs.
My meal was: 1lb of clams and steamed broccoli with melted butter.
My fiancé's meal was: a steak sandwich without the bread, a side of lettuce, tomatoe and a pickle and a side of sautéed mushrooms.
